Good eye. I started scratch building space ships back around that time. After Star Wars came out I made a Sci Fi movie in high school that had a lot of space ships in it.

That's about the time I started scratch building space ship models (I'm talking about the original series now not the CGI one)

Thanks. I wound up giving this away to a group of gamers. It was way to big to keep but It was fun to build.

I used two mouthwash bottles as engines on this ship( I will post a new picture)
In the "models" section at my DA site has an " Unnamed spaceship" on the third page that is a shampoo bottle.

Thank you. It was actually so big that I gave it to a gaming group because I had nowhere to keep it. I also do a little writing and I used it in one of the chapters in my Star Wars fan fiction. Each chapter has at least one picture of the character in it or a space ship that was used. This ship is in the chapter named "The Grand Adventure".
Let me know if you want to read any of my stuff and I'll send you a link.

This is my web address

Most are ten pages long and take about 20-30 minutes to read, so they can be read on anyone's lunch break.
There are three story sections.
Star Wars based story. (warning there are one hundred chapters here. it might be the longest ever done.)
Character background stories.(there are several background stories mixed in with some other non Star Wars stories. a little confusing but you'll figure it out.)
D&D stories. no explanation necessary.
Pass this information on to anyone you think may be interested.

The design would be fitting for a Tom Baker era Doctor Who. :)

I'm a Dr. Who fan and loved the older shows. The bad sets and limited budgets made the show better because the special effects never over shadowed the story or the plot.
Thanks.

The parts for this ship came from bad parts from where I work. We make swimming pool test kits and manufacture most of our own plastic components.
